POST_SHOW TALK BACK with Vincent  Manstoe following the show.

Vincent Sekwati Koko Mantsoe was born and raised in Soweto, South Africa. Born in the middle of Apartheid, he was more interested in cultural growth than in politics. As a child he and his siblings woke everyday to the sound of drums, when his grandmother, mother and aunt were greeting the Ancestors. A descendant of a long line of Sangomas (traditional healers), Mantsoe participated in traditional ritualsinvolving the use of song, dance and drumming. Mantsoe does not believe that he is a Sangoma, although he possesses their spiritual energy. Currently his creative activities revolve around the existential challenge of bridging between the past, the present and the future. Creating a universe through dance, he invites the audience in to join him on his sometimes humorous, more often painful, and always extremely physical journey.
