Juke Box Mania – April 24 2015 – Everyone can be Juke Box Heroes!

Tables are selling quickly with less than a month until the 10th anniversary of Juke Box Mania, to be held on Friday, April 24, 2015 at 6:30 p.m. at the Trentwinds. All those interested in participating should sign up now at www.cccrc-ptbo.com.Juke Box Mania promises a fun evening of great music and entertainment involving a name-that-tune game, a buffet dinner, an extensive silent auction, a 50/50 draw, and a special 10th anniversary guest, to be announced soon. All proceeds help prevent homelessness through Community Counselling and Resource Centre (CCRC)’s Housing Resource Centre and support other CCRC services.

 

Players sign up in teams of 8 to play the game and enjoy the evening. Community tables are $360 ($45 per person) with a $20 tax receipt per person. Sponsored tables receive extensive recognition leading up to, and during the event. Players listen to sound clips of music and submit answers identifying songs, TV jingles, movies and artists to a panel of judges. Teams with the top three highest scores go home with prizes and bragging rights!Even if you can’t attend, everyone in the community can be Juke Box Heroes by sponsoring those involved with Juke Box Mania.

Community Counselling and Resource Centre is a community agency with almost 60 years of experience in strengthening people’s lives and promoting community well-being. An accredited United Way agency, it offers counselling, support and resources to assist with personal well-being, credit and financial management, access to housing and connections with the community.

For the first Emergency of Public Energy’s next 20 years we are including some special treats, including the long awaited presentation of Vertep, Brad Brackenridge’s is Intimate installation/performance for one person at a time, and the full length play Myramadon by the late Bernie Martin at The Theatre on King. Myramadon will see one of Peterborough’s favourite performer/musician partnership back on stage: Kate Story and Curtis Driedger.
